The NETGEAR FlexPower Base Station for FlexPower Cameras (VNB4000) carries a suggested retail price of $99.99/each. The FlexPower ONVIF-Compliant Wire-Free IP Camera (VNC4030) has a suggested retail price of $229.99/each. Netgear FlexPower Cameras and the FlexPower Base Station are available for pre-order now with shipping to begin in October in the US and Canada. The FlexPower Wire-Free IP Camera is compliant with ONVIF standards, ensuring its compatibility with other ONVIF-compliant surveillance video management systems (VMS).” This makes FlexPower an easy, cost-effective option for security installers needing to complement existing systems. The Open Network Video Interface Forum, or ONVIF, is an industry forum creating a global open standard for the interoperability of IP-based physical security products. They cannot be used as general Wi-Fi access points with other wireless devices. FlexPower Base Stations provide wireless connectivity for FlexPower Cameras only. Additional Base Stations can be added to extend the wireless coverage area and incorporate more FlexPower Cameras into the system. The Base Station supports up to four FlexPower Cameras and each Base Station includes the necessary processing to support ONVIF standards while simultaneously extending the Cameras’ battery life. The FlexPower Base Station performs as a 2.4GHz wireless access point for FlexPower Cameras with a range of up to 300 ft (line-of-sight). PTZ controls in the video management system app will wake the camera for live streaming. PIR motion detection is used to preserve battery life by streaming video only when motion is detected. The Cameras are weatherproof with an IP65 rating. Three power options are supported: battery, AC, or solar (with optional hardware). The Camera includes built-in 850nm IR illumination with a 25 ft range for surveillance at night. The FlexPower Wire-Free IP Camera captures “HD-quality” video (720p) using a 130-degree wide-angle lens. The company says that the systems are easy-to-install and compatible with existing VMS and NVR security systems. Each FlexPower Base Station is capable of supporting up to a total of four FlexPower Wire-Free IP Cameras. Support for ONVIF Profile S lets you easily record video streams to your ONVIF compliant NVR, VMS or NAS system for centralized viewing or continuous, 24/7. Be aware that, due to this restriction, the amount of functions can be reduced if your INSTAR camera is not supported natively by your recording device. At CEDIA 2017, NETGEAR introduced the Netgear FlexPower, ONVIF Compliant Wire-Free IP Camera System, what the company describes as “the industry’s first and onqdly wire-free, battery-powered ONVIF-compliant camera.” The new NETGEAR security-camera system consists of two basic components: the FlexPower Wire-Free IP Camera (VNC4030) and the FlexPower Base Station (VNB4000). The supported ONVIF version dictates the available functions. Profile S also covers ONVIF specifications for PTZ control, audio in, multicasting and relay outputs for conformant devices and clients that support such features. A Profile S client (e.g., a video management software) is one that can configure, request, and control video streaming over an IP network from a Profile S device. A Profile S device (e.g., an IP network camera or video encoder) is one that can send video data over an IP network to a Profile S client. Profile S is designed for IP-based video systems. Make sure that all your ONVIF devices support the same standard. Select your camera from the list of discovered ONVIF devices inside your local network.Ĭlick on Identification and check your camera´s ONVIF Version. Start the ONVIF Device Manager and type in your camera login.
#WHAT IS ONVIF COMPLIANT WINDOWS#
You can check the ONVIF Version of your IP camera with a Windows tool called ONVIF Device Manager. If they do not give you a version number and instead just say Profile S or ONVIF compliance with no version number, they have dodged your question. If you want to use your INSTAR camera with an ONVIF recording device (NVR, NAS, etc.), you will need to contact the manufacturer or retailer of the device and ask them what version of ONVIF they support. Sometimes companies say that a device is ONVIF compliant when it is not.
#WHAT IS ONVIF COMPLIANT 1080P#
All our 1080p IP product are 100% ONVIF compatible with version 2.4 of Profile S for IP security cameras. In some cases, a camera can have basic video compatibility but lack the ability to do more advanced features, such as motion detection. ONVIF has different versions of compatibility that dictate which features can be integrated into the system. The surveillance industry has created an open standard protocol CALLED ONVIF that allows cameras to communicate with each other and with network recording devices.
